How the Sun Impacts Human Consciousness and Sensitive People

“There is a sun within Every Person” – Rumi

Feeling the connection

On days when the sun is shining bright, glimmering with a sparkle, I feel a sense of awe for this sun and its magical presence in our sky.

It has such an impact on my consciousness and sensitive soul. I feel happier and more energized on a day when the sun is shining brightly above me. Just as a sunflower would turn itself towards the sun, I do the same. My body naturally angles itself to face it, following its trajectory across the sky. I bask in its warmth and allow its powerful light to bathe me in its restorative energy.

It is so easy to feel peaceful and connected to the Divine (to that which I refer to as God) when I witness a sunrise or sunset. Watching it rise or set on the horizon, you can feel within the body a sense of peace and higher vibrational energy that is deeply healing and transformative.

That Sunshine

The Sun holds a lot of power and mystery, it’s no wonder that it has also been respected and revered by our ancient ancestors and many people today. Science tells us that the Sun is at the heart of our solar system, and even though Earth orbits 93 million miles away from the Sun, it can still provide just enough solar energy to sustain life on Earth. The sun interacts with the Earth and drives the seasons, ocean currents, weather, climate, radiation belts and aurorae.

Even though the Sun is classified as a Yellow Dwarf Star, it is massive. About one million Earths could fit inside the sun.

It has such a massive pull on not only Earth but other planets in our local solar system. Its gravity holds our solar system together, and its electric currents generate a magnetic field that is carried out through the solar system by the solar wind.

The Sun’s visible surface sometimes has dark sunspots, which are areas of magnetic activity that can lead to solar explosions.

Have you ever stopped to consider how much the Sun’s solar activity can impact your daily life?

We are all energy beings first and foremost, and physical beings second, so it’s not a stretch to say that we can be affected by energetic activity in our Solar System.

If you’re going through a spiritual awakening, and/or are highly sensitive to energy, you may be more affected by periods of heightened solar activity. The Sun’s activity is linked to our brain waves and heart state.

Our blood pressure can rise and fall with solar activity, our sleep patterns can be affected, as well as an increase in the flow of our creativity.

In fact, at the beginning of my spiritual awakening, I wasn’t aware of how much heightened solar activity was affecting me. It wasn’t until I started hearing about Solar flares, CMEs and their impact on our planet that I started connecting the dots.

Without giving you a major science lesson here is how it works, the sun moves through a cycle of intense activity every 11 years. Its activity is tracked by solar scientists counting how many sunspots there are in a cycle. This has been done since 1755, which is classed as Solar Cycle 1. These cycles are often referred to as Solar Minimum and Solar Maximum. Currently, we are in Solar cycle 25 which began in December 2019.

According to NASA, the Sun’s activity will once again ramp up until solar maximum, predicted for 2025.

During the Solar Minimum period, (which we are currently in), more cosmic radiation infiltrates Earth’s field and as with the Solar Maximum, both periods in the Sun’s cycle provide us with an opportunity to rise in consciousness. We go through a growth cycle just like the sun.

Solar Flares, CMEs and Energetic Sensitivity

Solar Flares and CMEs both involve gigantic explosions of energy, but they emit different things, they look and travel differently and they have different effects near planets, especially our Earth.

Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) are large expulsions of plasma and magnetic fields from the sun’s corona. CME’s can result in the sudden release of electromagnetic energy in the form of a solar flare; which typically accompanies the explosive acceleration of plasma away from the sun – the CME.

Solar Flares impact Earth only when they occur on the side of the sun facing the Earth. Because flares are made of photons, they travel out directly from the flare site, so if we can see the flare, we can be impacted by it. With CMEs, the large clouds of plasma can erupt in any direction and then continue in that direction, plowing right through the solar wind. Only when the cloud is aimed at Earth will the CME hit Earth and therefore cause impacts.

With CMEs, magnetic changes can affect a variety of human technologies. High-frequency radio waves can be degraded, radios transmit static, and GPS coordinates stray by a few yards. The magnetic oscillations can also create electrical currents in utility grids on Earth that can overload electrical systems when power companies are not prepared.

What does this mean for sensitive people?

According to Elizabeth Peru, an Intuitive Cosmic Guide, whenever the Sun is busy producing solar flares that may or may not produce CMEs, those sensitive to energy are particularly affected.

She says that if you are sensitive to energy, you pick up on shifts easily. Your energy field is quite large and in tune with the spiritual as well as the physical dimension. She says more and more of us are becoming sensitive to energy as we open up to our cosmic consciousness and start living a clean and healthy lifestyle.

Elizabeth points out in her book “Cosmic Messengers”, sensitive people pick up on solar activity as it’s happening on the sun, regardless of whether solar flares ever produce CMEs that are Earth-directed.

Energetically sensitive people might experience physical, emotional and mental symptoms during periods of heightened solar activity.

I have been keeping a journal of when I have had unusual symptoms and then come to find out later that they have occurred when the sun has been active.

According to Elizabeth Peru, there are indeed symptoms associated with solar activity that can be felt in our minds and bodies.

Some examples of physical symptoms that can occur are:

  • Random tension headaches that occur mostly over your eyes
  • Sleep interruptions
  • Lethargy or lack of energy (your body is being energetically rewired during solar activity)
  • Inner heat rising within you
  • May feel dizzy and ungrounded
  • Your ears may be ringing or sounding like a high-pitched tuning fork being struck in one ear or the other
  • Neck and shoulder tension
  • Emotional symptoms that can occur are:
  • Feeling teary and feel a sense of loss
  • Mental symptoms that can occur are:
  • Easily bored. Your daily routine can become daunting. Solar activity pushes us to be more creative.
  • You might feel flooded with insight and inspiration.
  • Your mind may be racing and you might find it hard to focus
  • Spiritual symptoms
  • Your soul pushes through to be heard during solar activity so, you could be questioning your current path and direction

As an energetically sensitive and aware person, I have experienced a few of those symptoms myself. At first, I had no idea what was going on. The high-pitched ringing would occur, followed by a burst of creativity and insight.

Sometimes the symptoms are not so pleasant, so the best advice I’ve discovered is:

  • Up the self-care by drinking more fresh-filtered water
  • Eating nutrient-dense foods
  • Stretch and move your body when you can
  • Rest when your body feels tired.

The sun truly is a magnificent piece of our world and so many of us don’t know how to use it. Daily we live with ailments and look for one or two ways to heal ourselves. I have found that by living and using pieces of our natural earth like our ancestors I am living more consciously, more full, more alive.

When was the last time you stepped outside to visit the sunshine and its warmth? Go on out there, you deserve it!
